How to Lose 30 Pounds in 6 Months - Set Up Weight Loss Goals

Being Overweight can expose you to a range of different health problems such as diabetes, heart disease or even Cancer.
This is why you should set up weight loss goals to follow if you want to avoid these kind of diseases. When setting up weight loss goals, you should be sure that your goals are realistic and possible to achieve. Here are some tips to help you on the way:
1. Set up Realistic Goals
First of all you should set up realistic goals for your fat loss. Many times weight loss goals can be more ambitious then they need to be.
For example if you want to lose 30 lbs. Then write that down on a paper or similar. You could also divide your fat loss into smaller steps of for example losing 10 pounds per month. By losing 10 pounds per month you will see results faster, and many steps finally adds up to a big one.
2 . Use your Body's Mass Index or BMI
Another good indicator to know if you are overweight, and if you are in the risk zone for different health issues and diseases, is to use your body's mass index.
Your Body's Mass Index (or BMI) is a good indicator to know if you need to lose weight or not. An ideal BMI range to target, is between 19 and 24.9. This is also what you should try to reach with your weight loss goals. If your BMI would be between 25 and 29.9, you are considered overweight. And if your BMI would be above 30, you have reached the obesity range. This is also the most dangerous zone to be within.
This is why it's important to take action and to set up reachable goals if you are overweight.
3. Take Action
Taking action is the most important step towards losing weight.
For example if you want to lose 30 lbs in two months. Then focus on what you are going to do to lose those 30 lbs. Don't just say that you want to lose weight. Write your goals down, and take action.
