Diet Meal Plans Helped Me Lose Weight

Several years ago, I made it a point to create a diet and weight loss program that would help me to drop 100 pounds and, quite frankly, save my own life. I created an exercise regimen as well as diet meal plans that helped me to lose the weight and keep it off. It is one of the proudest accomplishments of my entire life, and something that I will always look back upon with great fondness. The diet meal plans were key for me to have success on my weight loss goal.

My biggest problem when I would try to lose weight was what to eat over the weekends. In all honesty, I would lose as much as eight to 10 pounds during the week, only to put five or six of it back on over the weekend. At first, I had no idea what was wrong with me and why I kept gaining so much back over the weekend. Then I realized that I did not have a set eating schedule on the weekend and I certainly did not have any diet meal plans. I basically had diet meal plans during the week, even though I did not call them that, but over the weekend, it was pretty much a free-for-all.

I started out by creating diet meal plans that were nutritious, low in calories, and most important, tasty. I absolutely refused to eat any diet food, because I simply cannot stand the way most of it tastes. Because I was so set on eating healthy foods that were also fresh, I ended up buying lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, chicken, fish and whole grains. I knew that with as much as I was working out, as long as I ate the diet meal plans I had created and did not stray too far from my routine, I would lose weight, and fairly quickly. That is exactly what happened.

I dropped about 25 pounds in my first month of weight loss, and while it tapered off a little from there, I still saw significant loss in several subsequent months. Before long, which is to say within about six months, I was within a normal weight range, felt much healthier and had a lot more energy. It was a combination of the diet meal plans and the exercise that helped me lose so much weight in such a short period, and the fact that I had such a regimented routine took most of the thought process and desire to stray from my weight loss goals away.
