Diet is a good way to boost the chance of conceiving the gender of your choice. pH Theory and Diet
One of the theories surrounding diet is that your diet affects the pH of your body, and more importantly, the pH of your reproductive tract. The fluids that you have around the time that you're fertile, the vaginal environment --all of that can be influenced by diet and the pH levels inside can change.
It's known that the Y-bearing sperm (which are the sperm that make boys) prefer a more alkaline environment and X-bearing sperm (the ones that produce a girl) do better with an acid environment. They're hardier and they can survive in the more acid environment. If you can make your body more acid, or especially your cervical fluids more acid, and you want a girl then the Y-bearing sperm aren't going to live because they're weaker -- not as hardy. The X-bearing sperm will just live through it and get to the egg and you'll get your girl.
Or, if you want a boy, then you work to make those fluids much more alkaline. That gives those little Y-bearing sperm a chance to rocket right through and get to the egg and fertilize and give you your boy. There's probably still some holdover from the thought that Y-sperm are faster in this theory (they're not). But the Acid/Alkaline theory seems to hold up scientifically. It also seems to show true in livestock. Even though you're not a cow, studies done on other mammals can give clues on gender selection for all mammals.
What Do You Eat?
Spend a little time focusing on pH. You can change your pH through your diet!
What do you do if you want to have a girl? You want to be more acid, so you'll eat foods that make your body more acid.
If you want a boy, you eat foods that make your body more alkaline.
Boy Foods
All of the green vegetables make your body more alkaline. Vegetables are really good for making your body more alkaline and more friendly to the boy sperm. Many herbs and spices do too. Surprisingly enough, tomatoes can make your body more alkaline. Fruits tend to make your body more alkaline.
Most meats are thought to make your body more acidic. But they're heavy in protein, vitamins, and other nutrients, so even though it's thought that meats can make the body more acidic, you want to still eat meats with a boy. Shellfish and some fish are less acidic.
Lots of meat, vegetables, and fruits are a good recipe for a boy.
Girl Foods
If you want a girl you want a low-protein diet. Eat foods that make your body more acidic but avoid the meat.
Grain products make the body highly acidic. All breads, all tortillas and things like that are great choices for you. Most sweets and sweeteners make the body acidic. Women trying for a girl can enjoy more syrups, sugars, etc. Indulge in some sweets!
Remember most fruits and vegetables make the body more alkaline. So it's a little bit harder to find something acidic. Some people say that pickled vegetables make the body more acidic. On the whole, though, the girl diet is a little bit more limiting than the boy diet. You'll eat mostly grain products with some lean protein and legumes. Your diet should be low in fat and calories, and have sweets here and there.
